music and slave chants recorded at Angola Prison in the 1950s, this
new project consists of original compositions and inspired
arrangements of traditional songs by Howard Wiley.
Howard's
interpretations draws upon the call and response technique between a
leader and the "congregation", creating a unique musical
exploration.
